- Open the book and tap Lend under Your copy. It’s there for print copies you own.
- Type who’s borrowing it. As you type, we’ll suggest people who follow you and people you’ve lent to before.
- Add a due-back date if you’d like a reminder on that day. Leave it off for “keep it as long as you like.”
Everything that’s out is in Profile → Lending, with who has it and for how long:
- Text reminder sends a friendly note. It never mentions a date.
- Mark returned moves the book to Returned when it’s home, so you can see who had it before.
- Lend a book starts a loan from your list of print copies.
A due date sends one reminder on the day and never nags after that.
Borrowed a book from someone? Tap Borrowed on the Lending screen, then Add a borrowed book. You can also tap Who lent it? under Your copy on the book’s page. Tap Remind me and we’ll send one reminder the morning before it’s due back.
Lending to someone who follows you? Pick them from the list as you type and we’ll ask them first. Once they tap Accept, the book goes on their Reading shelf and you’ll see how far along they are. You’ll only see their progress on that book, and only while it’s out.
